
My name is Balázs Szilágyi. I’m an amateur cook, a father of three, and a husband. In other words, I never formally learned how to cook, but I enjoy it, and I often do it for my family’s pleasure. There are basically three reasons why I love cooking:
- It’s a wonderful thing to see something – meaning the raw ingredients of a dish – completely transform in my hands.
- I like eating what I cook.
- I also like bringing joy to other people with it. It feels good to see a smile on someone’s face when they’re eating something I made.
What Is My Goal with the “Schnitzel in a Wok” Food Blog?
I would like curious home cooks to get to know the simple but authentic dishes of other nations, and to make and enjoy them more and more often. I would like to contribute to households eating a wider variety of meals – meals that people cook not as a burden or out of duty, but for the pleasure of it.
Beyond that, I simply want to preserve what I cook and make it available to others as well.
If a family puts an Italian pizza or a Hungarian Goulash on the table because they saw them on my blog, I’ll already be happy!
