Hungarian Green Pea Stew with Milk

Ingredients
  

  • 6 ½ cups green pea 900 g
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 3 ½ tbsp flour
  • 1 ¼ cups water 300 ml
  • 1 cup milk 240 ml
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Sautée the green peas in vegetable oil over medium heat until almost tender. This takes between 5-10 minutes depending on the type of your green peas.

  • Add chopped parsley, salt, sugar and flour. Stir and let it cook for another minute.

  • Add water then milk, stir. Cook for 3-4 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
